La Galleria Davide Di Maggio e' lieta di invitarvi all'inaugurazione della mostra di Andrea Santarlasci "Le Direzioni Inverse del Tempo"

Fin dagli esordi Andrea Santarlasci ha elaborato un sistema dove convivono molteplici tecniche (dal disegno alle opere tridimensionali di scultura e installative, fotografia, interventi con installazioni sonore e video) utilizzando anche una grande varieta´ di materiali (legno, gesso, marmo, elementi metallici, specchi, luci, vetro) dove si evidenziano i temi del doppio, dell'ombra, dell'illusione ottica, del vuoto e del tempo, elaborando con linearità una poetica che si incentra sulle relazioni tra naturale e artificiale, mondo quotidiano e ambiente esterno, che inducono sempre ad una riflessione sullo stato di spaesamento dell'uomo contemporaneo.

In occasione della mostra personale dal titolo LE DIREZIONI INVERSE DEL TEMPO, presso la Galleria Davide di Maggio, a Milano, Andrea Santarlasci presenta una installazione pensata appositamente per questa sede. L'artista prosegue in un approfondimento di tutte le tematiche sviluppate all'interno del suo lavoro, incentrando, in modo particolare, una riflessione sul concetto di tempo, aperto ad una interpretazione che vada al di là del suo lineare svolgimento canonico. Le molteplici digressioni sono rivolte ad esplorare possibilità come il frammento, l'intreccio, l'inversione e i paralleli temporali, come corsi che si intrecciano solo casualmente, visti da innumerevoli prospettive, digressioni che evidenziano anche le possibilità della memoria e della sua percezione emotiva, fino a considerare le ipotesi di universi atemporali.

Since the beginning of his career Andrea Santarlasci has elaborated a system in which various techniques coexist (from drawing to tridimensional works of sculpture and installations, photography and actions with sound and video installations) using also a great kind of materials (wood, gypsum, marble, metallic components, mirror, lights, glass) where the themes of the double, the shadow, the optical illusion, the vacuity and time are pointed out, processing with consistency a poetics that focuses on the relationships between natural and artificial, domestic realm and outside environment that always lead to a meditation on the condition of unsettlement of the contemporary man. In his way, the occurring images of the house and its architectural components, from domestic furniture, stairs, tables, furnishings, curtains are combined to the configuration of the natural horizon in unexpected solutions. In different occasions he made interventions in which video and sound installations, slide projections on different supports, such as architectural models, relate to the pre existing places or structural contexts – as in the case of the medicean cloister in Villa Vogel in Florence, where the columns, that delimiting the passage, overlapped the installation becoming part of it – A LITTLE OF FINITE INFINITY – and where the themes of nature, of commonness and of time are steadily declined into an articulated network of references and opennesses. In occasion of his solo show entitled “LE DIREZIONI INVERSE DEL TEMPO”, at Davide Di Maggio gallery in Milan, Andrea Santarlasci presents an installation specially thought for this site. The artist extends his investigation of all the themes developped inside his work, and particularly a meditation on the concept of time, open to an interpretation that goes beyond its normal linear process. The manifold digressions aim to explore possibilities like the fragment, the weaving, the inversion and the temporal parallels, as courses that intertwine randomly, seen by manifold perspectives, digressions that point out also the possibilities of the mind and its emotional perception, till to considerate the hypothesis of timeless universes.

Die Galerie Davide Di Maggio freut sich, Sie zur Eröffnung der Ausstellung "Le Direzioni Inverse del Tempo" von Andrea Santarlasci einladen zu dürfen.

Andrea Santarlasci bediente sich von Anfang an einer Arbeitsweise,  die verschiedene Techniken (vom Gemälde über dreidimensionale Arbeiten, darunter Skulpturen und Installationen, bis hin zu Fotografien, Ton- und Videoinstallationen) mit den unterschiedlichsten Materialien (Holz, Gips, Marmor, Metalle, Spiegel, Licht und Glas) vereint und damit Themen wie die Mehrdeutigkeit, Schatten, optische Illusionen, Leere oder das Zeitliche zum Vorschein bringt.

So entwickelte er zielstrebig eine Poetik, die sich zwischen Natürlichkeit und Künstlichkeit bewegt, zwischen Alltäglichkeit und Außergewöhnlichem, und die immer wieder auf eine Reflexion über die Entfremdung des modernen Menschen hinausläuft. In seinem Werk werden die wiederkehrenden Motive des Hauses und der entsprechenden architektonischen Elemente - häusliche Ausstattungen, darunter Treppen, Tische, Möbel oder Vorhänge - mit dem Bild des natürlichen Horizonts in eine bis dato innovative Verbindung gebracht. Zu verschiedenen Gelegenheiten hat er Arbeiten ausgestellt, in denen sich die Ton- und Lichtinstallationen, in Form von Diaprojektionen auf verschiedenen Untergründen, mit den Voraussetzungen des Raumes und des strukturellen Kontextes verknüpfen - so wie im Falle des Klosters Villa Vogel der Medici in Florenz, wo die Säulen, die den Eingang säumen, sich über die Installation legten und so Teil des Werkes wurden - IN ETWA DAS UNENDLICHE ENDLICHE - und in denen die Themen Natur, Alltäglichkeit und Zeit durch unzählige Verweise konsequent betont werden.

Im Rahmen der Einzelausstellung mit dem Titel LE DIREZIONI INVERSE DEL TEMPO in der Galerie Davide Di Maggio in Mailand, zeigt Andrea Santarlasci eine Installation, die extra für diesen Raum konzipiert wurde. Der Künstler setzt die Erörterung aller Themen, die er bisher in seinen Arbeiten untersuchte, fort und stellt die Untersuchung des Konzeptes der Zeit ins Zentrum, welches ihm einen Zugang eröffnet, der jenseits seiner gewohnt klaren Darstellung liegt. Die zahlreichen theoretischen Ansätze des zeitlichen Konzeptes bieten die Möglichkeit, verschiedene Aspekte zu erforschen, wie die zeitliche Zersplitterung, Überkreuzung, Inversion oder Parallelität, Prozesse, die bloß rein zufällig aufeinander treffen und sich verflechten, sowie die Möglichkeit, sie aus unzähligen Blickwinkeln heraus zu betrachten; Ansätze, die auch die Erinnerung und die empfindsame Wahrnehmung berücksichtigen, bis sie schließlich sogar Hypothesen über ein zeitloses Universum in Betracht ziehen.
